In those days in the year 1999, I remember distinctly, we didn't have Cable TV back at home and in those days it was ESPN and Star Sports who were telecasting a majority of the Indian Cricketing tournaments. So I just got to hear the Radio commentary of this Pepsi Test Challenge and also The Asian Test championship.
Later on we got Cable TV and now we have RUclips and other online platforms to see the old cricket matches. Anil Kumble Sir did a remarkable achievement for his generation and he was deserving to get a Knighthood from the Queen of Great Britain, but it was not to be so.
I just realised 90s cricket looks like vintage now...hard pill to digest. They dont make cricketers like that anymore. That era was the best. Kumble, Srinath, dravid ganguly sachin...They were gentlemen with their heads on their shoulders. Now i just shake my head looking at the ruffians with all that money n fame...

When he retired he was on top form and was also contributing in batting and fielding.
